Mrs. Stella Susan Kesner, 80, of Dorcas, died Saturday, Feb. 2, at the home of her son Doug Kesner, Dorcas.

Born Dec. 17, 1927, in Dumpling Run, Hardy County, she was the daughter of the late Adam Jesse Columbus "Bud" and Nettie (Mongold) Parsons. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Samuel V. Kesner, Jan. 13, 2002; two stepmothers, Ethel (Shoemaker) Parsons and Pearl Parsons; one brother, John William Parsons; and one stepsister, Peggy Cosner.

She is survived by two sons, Doug Kesner and wife Melda of Dorcas and Allen Kesner and wife Kimberly of Broadway, Va.; five grandchildren, Tammy Kesner, Greg Kesner, Ben Kesner, Elizabeth Kesner and Laura Combs; two great-grandchildren, Samuel Kesner and Autumn Kesner; three stepgrandchildren, Shawna Cordray, Devin Cordray and Breanna Cordray; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Gwen Cordray and Abbey Cordray; one stepsister, Martha Houdersheldt of Ridgeley; two brothers, Ernest Parsons of Ridgeley and Paul Parsons of Petersburg; two halfbrothers, Jesse Parsons Jr. of Moorefield and Fred Parsons; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are today (Tuesday) at 1 p.m., at the Schaeffer Funeral Home chapel, Petersburg, with the Revs. William R. Brown and Richard L. Longbon officiating. Interment will be in the Kline Cemetery,?Kline.
