She was born December 17, 1963 in Carrollton, Georgia the daughter of Mrs. Myrtie Broome Richardson and the late Mr. James Farris Richardson.
She was a devoted teacher for many years for the Douglas County School System. She taught at Lithia Springs Elementary, Winston Elementary and retired from Dorsett Shoals Elementary School. She was a devoted and active member of Ephesus Baptist Church for over 40 years. She loved singing in the Choir and serving in the Preschool and Children’s Ministry.
She is preceded in death by her father, Farris Richardson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Larry and Beverly Stone.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Richard Wendell Stone of Winston; daughter, Krista Stone of Wake Forest, NC; two sons, Drew and Elise Stone of Douglasville and Alex Stone of Winston; her mother, Myrtie Broome Richardson of Winston; sisters, Sandy and Greg Davis of Villa Rica and Hope and Steve Redwine of Marietta; brother, Glenn Richardson of Hiram; in-laws, Penny and Tim Perkins of Villa Rica, Gloria and Mike Mahaffey of Villa Rica, Diane Stone of Winston, and John Stone of Douglasville; extended family.
The Celebration of Life will be held January 2, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Ephesus Baptist Church Interment will follow at Ephesus Baptist Church Cemetery.
