Jason died Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk due to a motor vehicle accident.
Jason Roger Hoffman, son of Diane Clark Hoffman and Larry Hoffman of Norfolk was born on September 5, 1969. Jason grew up in Norfolk, where he attended and graduated from Norfolk High School in 1988. He was a member of the 1987 Class A State Basketball Championship team. Jason graduated from Wayne State in 1992, with a degree in Criminology.
After college Jason began his professional career working in the beverage retail industry. For the past 20 years he has worked for Pepsi Bottling in several capacities, the latest as the training manager.
Jason made many lifelong friends during his tenure at Pepsi. He also loved the times spent with his buddies, both human and canine, in a fishing boat or duck blind.
Jason passed away on December 28, 2016, at Faith Regional, attaining the age of 47 years, 3 months, and 23 days.
Jason’s life and memory will forever be cherished by his parents, mother, Diane Hoffman of Norfolk and father, Larry (Linda) Hoffman of Norfolk; aunts and uncles, Denise and Bob Putman of Council Bluffs, IA, and Dennis and Donna Neudeck of Omaha, NE; his beloved six month old black lab, Shelby; and his many, many friends.
A very special thanks to Randy Snodgrass and Mike Unger for their love for Jason and for all of their support and help with preparations for Jason’s service.
Jason was preceded in death by his brother, Brian; grandparents, Ralph and Donna Neudeck, and C.E. and Rose Hoffman; and his best canine buddies, Mandy and Vegas.
Per family request, memorials may be given to the Animal Shelter of Northeast Nebraska.
Jason was an organ donor and his eyes will be donated to Lions Eye Bank.
