Tammy Delois Harris was born on November 21, 1961 to Dave & Lillie B. Smith in Memphis, Tennessee. On Thursday, December 15,2016 she was granted her wings. Tammy was a graduate of Hamilton High School Class of 1980 in Memphis and later attended Rutledge College in Memphis, Tennessee. Tammy accepted the Lord as her personal savior at New Antioch Missionary Baptist church under the leadership of Pastor Robert L. Mitchell. She sang in the choir and attended Sunday School every Sunday morning.

Tammy could spend hours listening to blues music and being surrounded by those she loved so much. She was such a loving and caring person. She loved attending stage play productions and blues shows. Her favorite radio station was WVOL on Saturday morning. Prior to her illness, she worked for Springs Bath Fashion for 15 years in Nashville, Tennessee. She devoted much of her time and energy to her family and was a childcare giver to a few of her great nieces and nephews.

Tammy loved to cook and crochet. She was well-known for her baked beans and turnip greens. Her favorite family gathering was Christmas, everybody got a gift during that time! Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Dave Smith.

Tammy leaves her cherished memories to her husband Kenneth Harris of Memphis, TN, her Mother; Lillie B. Smith of Memphis, TN; Her two sons; Montreal Smith, and Kontreal Smith, one daughter; Serita (Charles) Applewhite, Sisters; Vanessa (Lannie) Smith, Dorothy Smith of Memphis, TN, Cynthia Badiane and Phyllis Smith, Brothers; David Lee Smith and Christoper (April) Smith of Memphis, TN and eight grandchildren;Christian, London, Kentreal, Serenity, Chelsi, Heaven, Jazmyne and Kontreal. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
