Vanessa was born Nov 11, 1953 to Peggy (Jones) Scarbrough and Bobby Jean Scarbrough in Oklahoma City. She graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1972 where she formed many life long friendships. Vanessa worked for St Anthony Hospital as a Pharmacy Tech for 35 years. Vanessa married Billy Dale Wells (deceased), and had a son Aaron in 1976. Vanessa and Billy divorced in 1979. On Nov 20, 1981 she married Jose Flores. They were blessed with two children, a daughter Jessica, and a son Mario (deceased). Vanessa is survived by her husband Jose Flores (OKC); mother Peggy (Jones) Scarbrough (OKC); son Aaron Wells and wife Stephanie (Moore); daughter Jessica Flores and partner Mandy (OKC); sister Stefanie Hickey and husband Kenny (Moore); brother Randall Scarbrough and wife Tish (Benton, Ark); nieces, Jennifer Scarbrough and Payton Hickey; nephew Tanner Hickey; and grandsons, Bailey, Bryce, Rylan, Zane and Grant. Vanessa is preceded in death by her father Bobby Jean Scarbrough; son Mario Flores; and niece Angela Scarbrough. All of the children in her family loved their "MawMaw" and "Aunt Banessa". She leaves behind friends and family who she loved. A short service will be held at 3:00pm Saturday, Dec 31, 2016 at Reflection Pointe Gardens, 10900 N Eastern, OKC. There will be a come and go visitation from 8:00am - 8:00pm.
