Soon after living in Montana, his family moved to Rocklin and after playing sports at Roseville High, he graduated in 1954.
He then entered the US Airforce for a 4-year stint. After his military service, he attended Sierra College in 1959 and played football under coach Buzz Ostrom.
Dan then began his music career after studying in Hollywood and served as a Disc Jockey, having worked in Arizona, San Diego, Lompoc, Stockton, Yuba City, and Auburn among a few other places.
He retired in 1980 and moved back to Roseville. He loved to sing Karaoke and write songs. He was also an avid golfer. Dan was a member of the Rocklin Seventh Day Adventist Church, the Roseville Elks Lodge, the Roseville Moose Lodge, and SIRS.
He is survived by his sister, Rayma Garcia and two nieces and a nephew.
A graveside memorial service will be held at the Rocklin cemetery at 4090 Kannasto Street on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 1:00 PM.
