John passes away at home in Oatley (which is NOT available on the drop down menu).

John went to Boarding School when he was 16 years old 1923) at St Stanislaus’ College, Bathurst.
After completing High School John attended The University of New South Wales in Sydney and in 1929 he became a Registered Pharmacist.
1930 Marries Lorna Marea Schreiber (see below for more info).
In 1931 he bought a Pharmacy in Ballina on the Far Nth Coast of New South Wales.
1932 to 1937 Three sons born.
By 1938 the heavy debt of purchasing the Pharmacy and cost of raising three young sons took their toll. He sold out, left his family with his wife’s parents at Muswellbrook, and became a "rolling stone", as a medical officer in coastal passenger steamers and a travelling salesman for a pharmaceutical importer, including a regular round crossing the Nullarbor to Perth with was "bull dust".

June 1941 saw an illegitimate daughter Glenelg South Australia to Margaret Elizabeth “Meg” Lockey & John. They didn't marry until Dec 1941. and divorced abt 1950. By this time Lockey had an illegitimate son before marrying his father & having 7 more children. The father used an alias as he was wanted by the law. The daughter born in 1941 used her step-father surname.
John only got his divorce in June from Lorna Marea Schreiber.

1942 John enlisted in the (Royal) Australian Army Medical Corps, Australian Imperial Force.
1943 Saw the birth & death of a son.
1950 Divorced Margaret Elizabeth “Meg” Lockey

1952 Married Mary (Molly) Winefriede Carroll and stayed together until death.

By 1954 John had had it with being a Pharmacist. Being super fit he decided to try his hand at brick laying & commercial fishing.

1956 to 1958 in Samoa John was the New Zealand's government pharmacist in Western Samoa, where he enjoyed wearing Islander dress.While in New Zealand waiting for the appointment to be organised, he completed They’re a Weird Mob (1957). and published 19 more books. They're a Weird Mob was also made into a movie released in 1966.

!957 Published his 1st book "They're a Weird Mob" by “Nino Cullota” (pseudonym).

John married his first wife in 9th October 1930, Lorna Marea Schreiber.

They had three boys John Jr, Frank & Denis (all living as at 2016). They Divorced June 1941.

John married his 2nd wife on the 26th Dec 1941 at a Govt Reg Office in Sydney.
