Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon, handled arrangements. A service will take place in the future at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.
He was born in Detroit, March 4, 1943, to Howard and Mary (Cimpea) Olari. He had lived in Waterford prior to moving to Roscommon 22 years ago.
He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War.
He and Judith H. VanSlambrouck were married April 22, 1966, in Detroit. He owned and operated Roscommon Towing for 22 years.

He was predeceased by his parents.
Surviving Mr. Olari are his wife, Judy; two sons, Tim (Jean) Olari of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, and Ken (Nicole) Olari of Commerce Township; four grandchildren, Theo (Rachel) Olari of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Joellen Olari of Salem, MA, and Jake and Ryan Olari of Commerce Township; two great-grandchildren, Ruth and Toby Olari of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; brother, Bob (Janet) Olari of Highland; and sister, Anita Olari of Waterford.
