Jason McKinley Wilkerson, 37, of Scottsboro passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Erlanger Hospital.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Bro. David Cofield, Bro. Greg Hart and Bro. Michael Trull officiating. Burial will follow in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Scottsboro Funeral Home.
Jason was a member of Rainsville First Baptist Church. He was employed at WestRock, Stevenson and on many of his days off he could be found working with his parents at Pikeville Store. He leaves behind to treasure his memories his wife, Tara; his two children, Kayley and Levi; parents, Dwayne and Connie; grandparent, Lewis Bellomy; uncle, Terry (Nora) Bellomy; aunts, Diane (Larry) Osby, Lanette Garner; mother-in-law, Kay Etherton; sisters-in law, Anita (Sammy) Smith, Tamala (Mark) Campbell; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins two of whom were like brothers to him, Chris Garner and Jonathan Bellomy.
Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents, Levi (Al) and Ruby Nell Wilkerson, Gracine Bellomy; father-in-law, Lester Etherton; and infant sister, Dwayna Ann Wilkerson.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Durwood Hodges and staff, Dr. Paul Avenel and staff and Dr. Sumana NagiReddy and staff for the compassionate and wonderful care given to Jason during his fight with cancer.
The family will receive flowers, but request donations be made to College Fund c/o First National Bank or a charity of your choice.
