Clara was a native of Randolph County and a devoted member of Jordan Memorial United Methodist Church, where she was active with the United Methodist Women. She retired from The John Plant with over forty years of service. Clara loved spending time with her family and knitting "prayer shawls" for the sick and home bound in the community. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Pugh, her parents, John C. and Cora Craven Nixon, and her sister, Edna Nixon.
Survivors: daughter, Lou Ellen Stout and husband, Perry, of Ramseur, sister, Ruth Nixon Powell, of Asheboro, grandson, Justin Stout and wife, Michele of the residence, great-grandson, Jacob Lynn Stout.
Visitation, 12 PM to 2 PM, Friday, Loflin Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ramseur and at other times at the residence.
