John Lorenzo Crockett, 87, died Monday, December 19, 2016 at his home surrounded by family.

He was born August 17, 1929 in Salt Lake City, the son of William Edward Crockett and Susan Margaret Crockett.

He was sealed to Grace Johnston on January 30, 1953 in the Salt Lake Temple.

John loved spending time with his family boating, water skiing, and snow skiing. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Grace Crockett; five children, Robert (Vicki) Crockett, David (Brenda) Crockett, Renee (Gary) Seegmiller, Diane (Bill) Martin, and Kimberly (Eric) Tuttle; seventeen grandchildren; and twenty-one great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, William Edward Crockett; mother, Susan Margaret Crockett; and a brother, Robert Edward Crockett.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Brighton Fifth Ward Building, 2301 East Bengal Boulevard (7640 South), Cottonwood Heights. A viewing will be held at the church on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the services on Wednesday.
