Ivan (Ike) C. Jorgensen, age 74, passed away October 18, 1996 in Bountiful, Utah.

Born July 16, 1922 in Peoa, Utah, a son of LeRoy and DeEtta Carpenter Jorgensen. Married Mildred (Mickey) Mathis, Aug. 31, 1945 in Columbia, South Carolina. Was ordained to the ministry in 1968 and was pastor of the First Southern Baptist Church in Bountiful for 17 years. Worked for Western Sign Co. for 10 years then formed his own company, Ike Jorgensen Sign Co., where he specialized in gold leaf lettering. Was a veteran, serving in World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Salt Lake City; one daughter, Judy (Blair) Morris, Salt Lake City; a granddaughter, Sally Lynn McMillian; three sisters, Thora Byrne, Independence, Missouri; Marvel Crittenden, Spanish Fork, Utah; and Kolleen Poff, Emmett, Idaho. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jack.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 22, 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 No. 400 East, where friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Tuesday. Interment, Lakeview Memorial Estates.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to the Building Fund, 1st Southern Baptist Church, P.O. Box 91, Bountiful, Utah 84010.
