Sara Frances Ross Sanders, age 88, passed away December 27, 2016 at NHC Health Care. She was a native and lifelong resident of Rutherford County and a member of Wilson Line Baptist Church. She attended Walter Hill School. She loved spending time with family and friends. Sara sold Avon, worked at Nollis Hosery Mill and Better Built Aluminum. She loved farm life, gardening, ceramics, quilting, crocheting, traveling and reading her bible.

Sara was preceded in death by her parents, George Payton and Nanny Tennessee Webb Ross; husband, Samuel Avery Sanders; son, Phillip Mitchel Sanders; brothers, Jessie, Charles "Nub", J.B. and Tom Ross; and son-in-law, Jimmie Lynn Kelton. She is survived by her son, Steve A. (Judy) Sanders of Murfreesboro; daughter, Dianne Kelton of Murfreesboro; sister, Nellie Wilson; brothers, Kellie, Vester and George Ross; grandchildren, Melissa(Tony) Galligani, Christopher (Morgane) Davis, Dr. Jonathan Sanders, Candice (Matt) Northcutt, and Jessica (Lee) Glasgow; and, four great-grandchildren, Tyler Galligani, Chloe, Celina and Kinley Northcutt.


Burial in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
