Gerald L. "Jerry" Dunn, 77, of Noble, died Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at Charlier Hospice Center in Evansville, Ind.

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 31 at First Christian Church of Noble.
Burial will be in Hanna Cemetery. Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Dunn was born July 31, 1939, in Gays, IL, the son of Arthur Dean and Beulah Mae (Sutton) Dunn.

He married Ruby Joan Davis on January 30, 1960, in Altamont, IL. She survives.

Jerry worked for AT&T Long Lines for 39 years and was a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and friends. Jerry loved spending time with his large family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a social person who had many close friends. Jerry was very generous with his time and would offer a hand to anyone who needed help.

Mr. Dunn is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joan Dunn, of Noble; son, Jerry Dunn and wife Nanette, of Sumner; son, Larry Dunn and wife Heather, of Olney; son, Martin Dunn and wife Melissa, of Olney; daughter, Margaret Hahn and husband Mike, of Olney; son, Brian Dunn and wife Laura, of Neoga; 20 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Delbert Dunn and wife Stelma, of Charleston; brother, A. Duane Dunn and wife Mary Ellen, of Brimfield; brother-in-law, Walter "Buddy" Osteen, of Altamont; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Alexander Sutton Dunn; brothers, Keith Dunn, Dale Dunn, and Thomas Dunn; and sisters, Pauline Miller and Gladys Dunn.

Memorials may be made to First Christian Church of Noble or Richland County Boy Scouts.
