Daisy Bernice Bennett, the daughter of Daniel Jerome and Lucretia Ann (Davenport) Miller, was born on April 21, 1910, near Zion in Union County, Iowa. Daisy entered eternal rest on March 6, 2009, at Creston Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Creston, Iowa, at the age of ninety-eight.

Daisy married Harold James Bennett on November 24, 1930, at Des Moines, Iowa. Daisy lived most of her life in Union County on a farm except for about ten years which she spent traveling in Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. She returned to the farm in 1973. Daisy was a homemaker and farm wife and raised her garden, canned, and milked the cows among other farm duties.

Left to cherish Daisy's memory are her Daughters: Helen (Wayne) Case, Kent, IA; and Katherine (Fred) Werner, Lamoni, IA; Daughter-in-Law: Berva Bennett, Lyons, Oregon; and Son-in-Law: Dean Shrader, Osceola; Thirteen Grandchildren; Twenty-eight Great-Grandchildren; and Thirty Great-Great Grandchildren; her Sister-in-Law: June (Glen) Weaver, Creston; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Preceding Daisy in death were her Parents; Husband in 1976; Son, Robert Bennett; Daughter, Ramona Shrader; Granddaughter, Rosemary Schultz; Two Brothers: Bud Miller and John Miller; and Four Sisters: Alice Dudley; Myra Eatinger; Blanche Christensen; and Margaret Lilly.
