Pilkinton - Boyd
A recent marriage of much interest to the people of Pike and Colquitt counties was that of Mr. J.R. Pilkinton of Molena and Miss Mamie Boyd of Moultrie. The wedding taking place during Christmas week at the home of the bride. The bride taught the Union Public school two years ago and won for herself the friendship and high esteem of all with whom she came in contact by reason of her high character, charming manners and sweet disposition. She is a member of a prominent south Georgia family, her father having been sheriff of Colquitt county for many years. Mr. Pilkinton is one of Pike county's most honorable and upright citizens and is held in the highest esteem by all who know him. He, too, belongs to a prominent family, being the son of Mr. Monroe Pilkenton. Our best wishes for the happiness and prosperity of this happy young couple are extended.
