Mrs. Jane Wilson Passes Away In California

Mrs. Jane Hulfish Wilson, for many years a resident of Havre, died May 13 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Haynes, in Kentfield, California, following an illness of several months.

Funeral services were held in San Rafael, California, followed by cremation. Her ashes will be brought to Havre for burial.

The widow of Charles B. Wilson and the daughter of the late George A. Hulfish, pioneer Havre merchants. Mrs. Wilson made her home in Havre from 1905 until 1934 when, following the death of her husband, she moved to California to live with her daughter. Always interested in civic affairs, she was an ative member of St. Mark's Episcopal church, the P. E. O, Eastern Star and the Havre Woman's club. Although she visited in Havre only once during the past 12 years, she kept in touch with many old friends here by mail.

Besides her daughter, Ann, she is survived by a son, George, and two grandchildren, Jane and Jeffrey Wilson of San Francisco; and two brothers, Charles W. Hulfish of Charlottesville, Virginia, and Thomas A. Hulfish of Alexandria, Virginia.

Mrs. Wilson was born in Haymarket, Virginia, February 20, 1872, the daughter of Sara Margaret (Smith) and George Andrew Hulfish. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a stepmother, Mrs. Anna Hulfish, two brothers, Raymond and George W. Hulfish, all of whom formerly lived here, and a sister, Mrs. Barclay Tremaine, who visited in Havre. A brother, Leslie, died in infancy.

Committal Rites For Mrs. Wilson Will be Held Tues.

Committal services for the late Mrs. Jane Hulfish Wilson, former Havre resident who passed away at Kentfield, Calif., May 13, will be held at the Wilson-Hulfish family plot in Highland cemetery on Tuesday, June 11, at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. A. E. Render of St. Mark's Episcopal church will officiate.
