Mr. Patty was cheif of the Auditing Department of the Internal Revenue office in Jackson.
Survivors: his wife, the former Marietta Johnson, a son: Dr. James W. Patty, Jr., Memphis, Tenn., one brother, F. M. Patty, Yazoo City, two sisters; Mrs. Nancy McKay and Mrs. Catherine Garner, both of Louisville.
