He was born December 4, 1935 in Jewel, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents James and Ethel Simmons, one brother Eugene Simmons, six sisters; Mildred Linnemann, Kathleen Hodges, Irma Osborne, Betty Beck, Jamie Terry and Patricia Osborne.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Cremation under the direction of Lewis-Roberts Funeral Chapel, Fort Smith.
