Hannah was a child of Quaker parents, Samuel and Rose (Densham) Hurnard. In young womanhood, she became a faithful believer and follower of Jesus Christ after deep and personal revelations of her purpose in life. She felt called to be an independent missionary to Haifa, Israel in 1932; work which lasted 50 years.

Traveling between Israel, Switzerland and England during these times, she wrote many inspired Christian books -- some of which are: "Kingdom of Love," "Hearing Heart," "God's Transmitters," "Winged Life," the "Mystery of Suffering," and the series: "Hinds Feet on High Places," "Mountains of Spices," and "Eagles Wings to Higher Places." This three book series has had millions of readers and remains classic.
