Lonnie D. Tate, Sr. 72, passed away in Show Low, Arizona on December 24, 2016 of natural causes. Lonnie was born on September 4, 1944 in Keota, Oklahoma to D.A. and Betty Tate. Lonnie attended Keota Public Schools where he graduated in 1963. Lonnie owned and operated Grassey Lake/T-Bar until he moved to Show Low, Arizona in December 2003 when he bought C & K Hose Co. He was respected as a business owner and loved by many friends.
Lonnie is survived by his son, Steve Tate and wife, Erlene of Stigler, Oklahoma; two brothers, Terry Tate and Tim Tate of Casa Grande, Arizona; beloved family, Dawn, Dawnis and Daltin of the home; four grandkids; two great grandkids and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lonnie is preceded in death by his parents, D.A. and Betty Tate; his son, Lonnie DeTroy Tate, Jr.
Funeral services will be held January 9, 2017 at Stigler First Assembly of God with Mr. Monty Guthrie officiating. Eulogist: Mr. Brett Guthrie. Pallbearers include Caleb Baldwin, William Lawson, Brett Guthrie, Monty Guthrie, Bryan Amos, Ben Baldwin. Honorary Pallbearers include Stanley Coonfield, Billy Wayne Mayfield, Joe Clyma, Harvey Mann.
Burial will follow immediately to Keota Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
