Melton C. Watts, a resident of Livingston, died at 10 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2000, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge. He was 86 and a native of Colyell.

Survived by his wife of 51 years, Murnell Sanders Watts; a son and special daughter-in-law, Randy and Billie Jean Watts; a sister, Shirley Wagner; two brothers, Valmond J. and Victor C. Watts; a grandson, Brent Watts; a special nephew, Marvin Roy; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, William C. and Birdie Harrell Watts; three sisters, Verna Watts, Joyce Taylor and Ruvie Palmer; and two brothers, Delton and Leland Watts.
