Harold Ray Hardin, age 79, of Andrews, NC passed away Saturday, December 24, 2016 at Valley View Care Center.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, NC and the son of the late Raymond and Mozelle Whitaker Hardin. Harold was a self-employed mason. He was a member of the McClelland Cove Baptist Church.
In addition to his family he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Maxine Day Hardin; three sons, Michael Hardin, Clay Hardin and Ray Hardin; daughter, Melissa Hardin Hooper; and an infant brother, Homer Lee Hardin.
He is survived by one son, one daughter, seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral Services will be held at 6 PM, Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews, NC. Rev. Donald Watkins and Chuck Davis will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 PM, Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews, NC.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Valley View Care Center Activities Club, 551 Kent Street, Andrews, NC 28901.
