Carrie Maxine (Hedrick) Bennett, age 84, of Columbia, MD passed Saturday, April 4 at Howard County General Hospital in Columbia, Md.
Born July 8, 1930 at Macksville, WV, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Twila (McDonald) Hedrick of Seneca Rocks ,WV.
Carrie graduated from Circleville High School class of 1948, Catherman's Business School, Cumberland, MD and retired from National Security Agency, Laurel, MD in July 2000.
She is survived by husband, James Bennett whom she married July 1957, 3 daughters, Ann Bennett and husband, Jack of Seneca Rocks, WV, Brenda Baldwin and husband Tommy of Columbia, MD, Linda Bennett of Columbia, MD , one son, Mark Bennett and wife Dana of Eldersburg, MD, and one sister, Carole Hartman of Franklin, WV.
Four grandchildren, Jared Bennett, Colton Bennett, Marissa Bennett, and Kylie Bennett and two great-grandchildren, Jax Bennett and Serena Bennett.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harman Hedrick and Harlan Hedrick.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Witzke Funeral Home, Columbia, MD.
Funeral service will be held at Rolling Hills Baptist Church in Clarksville, MD on Saturday, April 11 at 11:00 am.
A memorial service will be held at High Rock UM Church, Seneca Rocks, WV on Saturday, April 18 with inurnment following at North Fork Memorial Cemetery, Riverton, WV.
