Former Muncie resident Melba L. Nickol, 74, died March 23 in Maricopa Medical Center, Phoenix, Ariz.
She was born in Bluffton and resided in Muncie until 1980. She then moved to Houston, Tex., and lived there until moving to Glendale, Ariz., four years ago. Mrs. Nickol sung at many Muncie area churches.
Survivors include five sons, Larry Drown, Venice, Fla., Wayne and Ronald Drown and Fred Nickol, all of Muncie, and James Drown, Glendale; 20 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Arthur F. Nickol, is deceased.
A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Lighthouse of Jesus Christ Church. Private interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Redley.
