Jimmy B. "J.B" Neeley Jr.

Jimmy B. Neeley Jr., 41, No. 2 Robert Lee Apartments, died Friday afternoon [9/25/1970] in Johnson City Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He had been in poor health for a number of years.

He was born in Wise County, Va., and had lived in Kingsport for the past 30 years. He had been employed by the City of Kingsport until three years ago when poor health forced his retirement.

Survivors include his widow, Margie Neeley; sons, Johnny, Duane, Bryan and Roger Neeley, all of the home; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Neeley, Orebank; sisters, Mrs. Ruby Cole, Fall Branch, and Mrs. Francis Taylor, Orebank; a brother, Bill Neeley, Kingsport; and maternal grandmother, Mrs. Victoria Bush, Orebank.

Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Jimmy (J. B.) Neeley Jr., 41, No. 2 Robert Lee Apartments, who died Friday afternoon will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday from the Orebank Evangelical Methodist Church with the Rev. Douglas Drinnon officiating. Burial will follow in the East Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The body will remain at the Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home until one hour before services when it will be taken to the church. Hameltt-Dobson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
