Gerald A. "Jerry" Jensen, 78, resident of Brainerd, died Friday, December 23, 2016 in Brainerd. He was born in Brainerd December 11, 1938 to Joseph Arnold and Dolores (Skiba) Jensen. Jerry honorably served in the US Navy as an aviation radar man. He was formerly employed by NW Paper and was Maintenance Supervisor at Breezy Point Resort where he was fondly known as 'Uncle Jerry'. His Crow Wing County Fair shadow box floral designs and his photography were award winning.
Survivors include son Jon (Debbie) Jensen of Crosby,
daughters Julie Jensen of Chaplain and Jean Jensen Maldonado of Big Lake,
sister Rochelle 'Shelly' (Buzz) Jabas of Brainerd,
8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren,
numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife Grace.
Visitation will begin at 10 AM with Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Friday, December 30, 2016 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Brainerd. Fr. Paul Strommer will officiate. Burial with military honors will be at MN State Veterans Cemetery. Memorials are preferred.
