Barbra Andersen Williams, 76, of Ashton, passed away December 24, 2016, at Rexburg Care and Rehabilitation of natural causes.

She was born July 7, 1940, in Rigby, Idaho, the second of seven children born to Raymond and Evelyn Andersen. She grew up in Rigby and graduated from Rigby High School.

She married Harvey O. Williams on August 14, 1958, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. To this union were born four children, Craig, Carol Ann, Todd and Denise.

Barbra and Harvey lived most of their married life in Ashton. She worked at various jobs while raising her family. She worked at Artco and always helped in the harvest.

She loved working outside in her garden, flowers and taking care of her yard. She enjoyed singing in choirs and small groups. She enjoyed traveling and whenever they could get away they would take off to somewhere. She liked to see things off the beaten path and tasting all the food along the way.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions. She loved doing genealogy and would hound you for information until she got it. Then she would make sure all the family had an updated disk or sheet for their records.

Barbra is survived by her husband, Harvey, of Ashton; children: Craig (Junell) Williams, of Chester, Carol Ann (Blair) Jones, of Ashton, Todd Ray (Kelene) Williams, of Burley, and Denise (Justin) Clement, of Idaho Falls; two sisters; four brothers; 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 30, at the Ashton LDS Stake Center with Bishop Brian Loosli of the Ashton 1st Ward officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m., both times at the stake center.

Interment will be in the Chester Cemetery under the direction of Baxter Funeral Home.
