Funeral Service for Ruby Faye Wallace, 83 of Hartselle will be Monday, December 26, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Harold Fanning officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 12 to 2 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wallace was born Friday, September 1, 1933 in Morgan County, to the late Stephen Jonathan Curtis and Mina Clarintine Bolan Curtis. She married Alton Carroll Wallace, a son of Frank Austin Wallace and Mamie L. Slaten Wallace on Tuesday, June 12, 1951. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Wallace passed away Friday, December 23, 2016 at her residence.
Mrs. Wallace was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. Ruby Faye was deeply committed to her faith in Jesus Christ and her desire to serve others.
For many years she enjoyed serving the public in retail sales growing up in her father's Gulf gas station, later in life working at Maison Morgan and Judy's place.
She worked with her husband and local veterans to charter and establish the Hartselle chapter of the Disabled America Veterans and Ladies Auxiliary.
Many in the Hartselle area knew her for her love of Avon which she sold for almost 20 years. She was honored multiple years for outstanding sale achievements.
Survivors include two sons, Gary S. (Lena) and Fred E. (Amy) Wallace; a brother, Amon L. (Maxine) Curtis; two sisters, Jewel Hughes and Edith Osborne; and a grandson, Grant Wallace, all of Hartselle.
Pallbearers will be Grant Wallace, Frank Jones, Braxton Jones, David Curtis, Joe Curtis, Jamey Barbree and Curt Long.
