Mrs. Janice Arnold, age 67 of Elkton, passed away on December 22, 2016 in San Diego, California of complications following surgery for kidney cancer.

Janice (Greer) Arnold was born December 30, 1948 in Russellville, Kentucky to Willard Greer and her loving mother Elizabeth Stinson. Janice was a life-long resident of Logan and Todd Counties, Kentucky, where she grew up with her two sisters, Sara and Linda, and her brother Wayne. Janice met the love of her life, Joe Arnold, in the summer of 1964. They married in January, 1966; they recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary surrounded by family and friends. They grew a loving family with three beautiful daughters, Joanna, Jan and Jennifer, and was dear friends to many. In recent years, Janice and Joe have wintered in Yuma, Arizona with Janice’s sisters and have made many new friends.

Janice enjoyed creating lovely wooden crafts, home decorations, and art through her company, “Country Crafters.” But her true love and passion was her five grandchildren – Jordan, Maegan and Zackery, as well as Whitney and Ashlea. She passed on her love for creativity and being with family to her daughters and grandchildren. Janice was an incredibly loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and her family and friends will deeply miss her.

Janice is survived by her husband Joe Arnold, daughters Joanna Nelson (husband Bill Nelson), Jan Arnold (wife Mary Anderson) and Jennifer Wright, along with her grandchildren Jordan Arnold-Anderson, Maegan Nelson, Zackery Nelson, Whitney Wright, and Ashlea Wright, all of whom she loved with all her heart. Janice is also survived by her sisters Sara Lyons and Linda McLean, as well as her brother Wayne Greer, and her many nieces and nephews, of whom she was so fond.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 28th from 4:00 until 8:00 and again on Thursday, December 29th from 9:00 until 11:00 at the Todd County Funeral Home.
