James Forest Pike, age 85, of Quitman, Arkansas, passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 29, 2004. Born in Quitman on June 25, 1919, he was the son of the late James Robert and Addie (Martin) Pike. Mr. Pike was a dairy farmer and a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Pike was preceded in death by three brothers, Oscar Pike, Wesley Pike, and Atha Pike. He is survived by his wife, Rena Verl (Hodges) Pike, one son, Joe Pike and his wife, Dianne, two daughters, Alice Johnson and Patricia Treat and her husband, Bill, all of Quitman, one sister, Iris Webb of Searcy, AR, six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Mr. Pike is also survived by other relatives and his many friends.
