Kathryn Rita was born on Tuesday, September 29, 1914, in Philadelphia PA, to Thomas James and Katharine Rose (née Markmann) Armstrong.
In addition to her parents, Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, James F Comny, her son-in-law, Bruce Cowden, her brothers, Thomas J and Gerhard J Armstrong; and her sister-in-law, Mary (née Comny) Smith (late husband, Andrew Gordon Smith). She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen C Cowden; her son, James F. (wife, Joan); her grandchildren, Matthew, Jessica, Joanna and James; her sister, Jeanne Connor; and her brothers-in-law, Rev John Conmy OSFS and Barney Conmy.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, July 13, 2001, at Saint Joseph's Villa Chapel, 110 West Wissahickon Avenue, Flourtown, PA 19031. Interment followed at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, in Cheltenham PA.
