BRANDON, VT. - Lawrence "Larry" Thomas Bryant, 73, died on Saturday, December 24th 2016 at the Mountain View Center in Rutland, Vt.

He was born in Brandon, Vt. on December 1st 1943, he was the son of Albert and Margaret (Lake) Bryant.

He grew up in Forest Dale, Vt., where he received his early education.

He was a member of the first graduating class at Otter Valley Union High School Class of 1962.

He joined the U.S. Army in October of 1963 and served 13 months in Korea.

Following his honorable discharge in 1966 he returned home and began his working career at MalTool in Rutland, Vt.

He later joined the staff at Hayward Tyler Pump in Colchester, Vt. for several years.

He had also worked at S.F.I in East Middlebury, Vt., Keith's Machine Shop in Brandon, Vt., and retired from Melison's Inc. in 2008.

He was a member of Brandon American Legion Post No. 55.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was a communicant at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Brandon, Vt.

He was predeceased by his wife, Cheryl Ann (Flood) Bryant on October 6th 2016. They were married in Forest Dale, Vermont on July 25th 1986.

He was also predeceased by an infant son, Jeffrey Mark Bryant; and four brothers: Ronald Bryant, Jon "Jack" Bryant, David Bryant and Walter Bryant.

Entombment will follow the mass at Pine Hill Cemetery Receiving Vault in Brandon, Vt. The graveside committal service and burial; with Military Honors; will take place, at a later date in St. Mary's Cemetery in Brandon, Vt.
