DEPARTED
The death of Mrs. Sophia VanKirk, wife of Enoch VanKirk, of Enfield, occurred at her late residence on Saturday evening last.
The deceased was in her 75th year and leaves a husband, aged 76 years, and two sons, Postmaster Eron C. VanKirk, of this village, and Francis C. VanKirk, of Enfield, beside a large circle of other relatives and friends, to mourn her departure.
Mr. and Mrs. VanKirk were married nearly 54 years ago and have lived upon the same farm in Enfield ever since. The funeral services, conducted by Rev. Uri Hall, of Jacksonville, will be held to-morrow at 1 p.m., at the chapel near Hayt's (sic) on the Trumansburg road.
