Joy was born on January 31, 1930 to Victor and Irma Tritle in rural northwest Iowa. That area and especially The Lakes Region held a special place in her heart all her life.
Joy graduated from Excelsior High School in 1947.
In May 1949 she married the love of her life, Al Morgan. They enjoyed 67 wonderful years of marriage and were the proud parents of four children, Jim, Vicki, Tara Gilzean and Kelly Ungerman.
Joy held various jobs including working at the Dickinson County Courthouse in Spirit Lake, Iowa and CSU in Fort Collins, CO before finding her niche in banking at the Berthoud National Bank in Berthoud, CO. She absolutely loved her 42 years working there and gained life-long friendships with co-workers and customers.
Joy truly lived up to her name. She brought Joy to her family and to the lives of many. Her faith in God and love for her family and unending devotion to their well-being were her priorities in life.
Joy loved animals and through the years she loved many little dogs, especially Lexie and Lily. Music was a very special part of Joy’s life and playing the piano brought her joy.
In 2007 Joy suffered a life-changing medical occurrence from which she made a miraculous recovery but continued to struggle with deficits through the years. She faced this challenge as she did everything, with grace and a great sense of humor.
Joy will be missed more than words can say.
Joy was preceded in death by her parents Victor and Irma Tritle, brother Garst Tritle, sister Karleen McDonald, infant sister Lynelle Tritle, and son-in-law Rick Espinosa.
