Jean Weaver (Kendall), 86, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2016.

She was born November 18, 1930 in Meridian, Idaho to Ernest and Inez (Cooper) Kendall. Jean attended high school in Boise, Idaho.

On Oct. 13, 1951 she married Joseph M. Weaver in Boise, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Los Angeles LDS temple on June 20, 1959.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and her husband served an 18 month mission in Mammoth Lakes, Calif in 1993.

She loved flowers and gardening. She loved playing the accordion and piano and wrote several songs about her grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters: Terrie Jean Austin (George), of Fowlerville, MI, and Sheryl Ruth Knudsen (Thomas), of Elko, NV; son, Russell Weaver, of Driggs, ID; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Jack and Joe Kendall; and husband.

In lieu of flowers, family members request that contributions be made to Alzheimer’s foundation of America.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., prior to services at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Parker Cemetery.
