Barbara A. Dwyer of Southampton passed away into God's loving and eternal care Sunday, Dec. 18, 2016, at Medford Care Center. She was 82.

Born in Perkasie, Pa., she lived in Burlington Township for 43 years before moving to Southampton 18 years ago. She was a graduate of Bensalem High School and was formerly very active with St. Paul's Church while living in Burlington. Barbara was a parishioner of Holy Eucharist Church in Tabernacle and did much volunteer work for the March of Dimes over the years. She also was an avid reader and liked sports.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, James J. 'Jim' Dwyer; and her four children, James J. Dwyer Jr. (Leslie) of Chester Springs, Pa., Michael J. Dwyer of Cherry Hill, Stephen J. Dwyer of Dallas, Texas, and Joan M. Dwyer of Mt. Laurel. She also is survived by a sister, Angie Ashton of Bensalem; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 23, at Holy Eucharist Church, Medford Lakes Road in Tabernacle, and to attend the viewing from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the chapel of the church. Interment will be in the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in North Hanover.

Due to cemetery's restriction on accepting flowers, the family requests contributions in her name be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3 Eves Dr., Suite 310, Marlton, NJ 08053 or to www.alz.org
