Pl. Grove Woman Dies

Pleasant Grove-Margaret Rose Harper Smith, 75, died Thursday, 5:20 p.m. in the American Fork Hospital of a lingering illness. She was born April 23, 1886 at Pleasant Grove, a daughter of Charles Benjamin and Harriet Gibbins Harper. She has spent her life in Pleasant Grove and attended the schools of Pleasant Grove.
She taught for many years as a substitute teacher in the Pleasant Grove schools. An active member of the LDS Church, she served as a Primary teacher for 49 years. She is a past member of the Primary Stake board, past co-ordinator for the Pleasant Grove First LDS Ward junior Sunday School.
She was married to Orrin D. Smith, Oct. 12, 1932 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
She is survived by her husband of Pleasant Grove, one brother, one sister, Mrs. Grace Nelson, Bountiful; Clifton Harper of Pleasant Grove.
Funeral services will be held Monday in the Timpanogos Stake house at 1 p.m. Friends may call between 7 and 9 p.m., in the Pleasant Grove Olpin-Sundberg Mortuary and Monday prior to services.
Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove cemetery.
