RANDALL TERRY WOOD, 47, began his homeward journey on January 9, 2009 after losing his long and courageous battle with scleroderma and cancer in London Ontario, Canada. He was born on September 6, 1961 in Dallas, Texas to Robert J. Wood and Jane C. Wood and was a proud fourth generation Texan and descendant of Oklahoma Cherokee Indian - Fannie Archer.
After graduating from Highland Park High School, Randy went on to attend Richland College and then graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington. He was a lifelong Dallas sports fan and avidly followed the Cowboys, Rangers, Mavericks and Stars. Randy will be rejoining and rejoicing with his family in the Lord's Mansion including brother Richard Comer Wood; grandparents T.L. "Yick" and Marjorie Comer, Joe M. and Charlda Wood, great grandmother Kate Snow and many cousins and close friends. He is survived by his wife Sue Vollmer and her beloved boys Dylan and Devon; parents Jane and Bob; brother Robert J. Wood, Jr. and his wife Allie T. Wood, niece Chelle Y. Wood and nephew Robert J. Wood, III. Randy also leaves behind his darling furries Snowy and Ranger and his long time friend and faithful companion Buddy. No man had a better dog. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to each and every caregiver of London Health Sciences Centre - Victoria Campus; especially those who worked in the Critical Care Trauma Centre and those on the Thoracic Floor for their compassionate loving care, comfort and support during Randy's stay with them. The family will receive all at a remembrance gathering on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00, January 15, 2009 at Restland Funeral Home. The funeral service followed by interment will take place Friday afternoon, at 3:30, January 16, 2009 beginning in the Restland Funeral Home Main Chapel. Pallbearers:
