Seventh of seven children of Truman Cleo Flowers, Sr. (1899-1984) and Ada Pearl Raiford (1906-1986).


On 1 June 1963 in College Park, Fulton County, Georgia, she married David Lee NASH (1943-2022). The son of Clifford Carlton "Cliff" Nash (1901-1981) and Maggie "Jewell" Holt (1906-1972) of East Point, Georgia.

Mrs. Donna "Jill" (Flowers) Nash, of Newnan, Georgia passed away Tuesday, 23 June 2020, at 75 years old, at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital, in north Atlanta, after a long fought battle with congestive heart failure. She was born 3 March 1945 in Downtown Atlanta, Georgia, at Crawford Long Hospital, as the seventh of seven children, to the late Truman C., Sr., and Ada (Raiford) Flowers.


Jill enjoyed her family, collecting tea cups, and bird houses, personal daily Bible devotions, avid book reader, get-togethers with her sisters and especially time with her four grandchildren. She was a faithful member of the Fayetteville church of Christ.


She is preceded in death by her sisters, Judith O. "Judy" Flowers and Betty J. Land; brothers, Truman C. "T. C." Flowers, Jr. and Charles F. "Charlie" Flowers; brothers-in-law, T. Eugene "Gene" Newsome and Fred A. "Sonny" Land, Jr.; sister-in-law, M. Carolyn Flowers; nephew, C. Sterling Flowers; niece, Deborah J. Lackey; and her parents.


Jill is survived by her husband, David L. Nash of 57 years; son, Charles (Charity) Nash; daughter, Kelly (Ed) Hinely; grandchildren, Elizabeth Hinely, Reagan Hinely, Peyton Nash and Maggie-Lyn Nash; sisters, Greta Newsome, and Barbara (Kenneth) Hembree; and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.


A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Fayetteville church of Christ, 870 Redwine Road, Fayetteville, Georgia 30215 at 12:00pm. Visitation with the family will be 10:00am - 12:00pm before the service. According to Jill's request, she was cremated and returned to their home with her husband. Upon her husband's death, he will also be cremated and both of them will be buried together at New Hope Cemetery, on New Hope Road, in Fayetteville, Georgia.
