James Wesley Boyd, 81, a resident of McComb, MS, died December 22, 2016 at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center. Mr. Boyd was born August 25, 1935 to Clarence Boyd and Mary Magdalena Hightower Boyd.

Visitation will be Monday, December 26, 2016 from 9:00 AM until services at 10:00 AM at Jones Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in Darbun Cemetery in Kokomo, MS. President Leroy Nevels will officiate.

Mr. Boyd was a member of the McComb branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He retired from Croft Metals after working many years in the glass department. He loved to watch sports on television, and "make the rounds" with his wife visiting family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife; Eunice Lavon Boyd, a brother; Charles Boyd, two sisters; Daisy Marie McCullough and Mary Ethel Alexander.

He is survived by his son, Shannon Boyd of Summit, a grandson, Bryce Evan Boyd, five brothers; Larry Boyd of Jayess, Kent Boyd of Salem, Noah Boyd of Monticello, Emory Boyd of Ocean Springs and Jerry Boyd of McComb, three sisters; Judy Boyd Walters of Salem, Frances Boyd Landry of Slidell, LA and Eva Mae Boyd Coon of Enon, along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be: Wade Guy, Kent Boyd, Daniel Boyd, Larry Boyd, Greg Byrd, Leroy Nevels, John Levell Rayborn and Bryce Boyd.
