Kim was at the Moose Lodge, on the corner of High St & Sacramento St in Auburn, Ca. He mentioned that he was not feel well and left the Lodge and sat down on the steps out front and died of a heart attack.

Kim lived in Foresthill Calif in the early sixties. His father was the resident California Highway Patrol Officer. His family sold their Foresthill home in the summer of 1966 to my family. Sometime after that they move to Saskatchewan Canada. Kim returned to California and stopped by his former home in Foresthill and we became friends. In November 1969 from Auburn California U.S. Army recruiting office Kim and Steven Gibbs entered the Army under the buddy program. We both went to Fort Lewis Washington for Basic training. After basic, we both went on to Fort Rucker Alabama for Helicopter maintenance training. At this point we went to Viet Nam separately. Kim went to Viet Nam in June 1969 and returned about a year later. Sometime later he was hired by the Place County Sheriffs department as a deputy. He served the department for numerous years.
