Earl Junior Blackwell, age 68 of Cerro Gordo went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at his residence.
The family will receive friends 10:30 a.m. thru 12:00 p.m. Saturday, December 24, 2016 at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn with a graves-side service immediately following at Williamson’s Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend George Strickland officiating.
He was the son of the late Earl and Annie Mae Nobles Blackwell; and also preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Blackwell.
To cherish his memory he leaves his wife, Gail Griffin Blackwell of the home; a daughter, Samantha B. Barnhill and her husband, Greg of Evergreen; a son, Tracey Earl Blackwell and his wife, Miranda of Cerro Gordo; siblings, James “Tom” H. Blackwell of Whiteville, Eva Jane Nobles of Cerro Gordo, Norman L. Blackwell of Cerro Gordo, Teresa Blackwell of South Carolina, Opal Yvonne Little of Whiteville, Elizabeth B. Crawford of Cerro Gordo, Frances B. Bowen of Fayetteville, Dorothy B. Nobles of Cerro Gordo and Karen Mae Cribb of Whiteville; four grandchildren, Nolan Bryan Blackwell, Lily Blackwell, Hunter Barnhill and Chase Barnhill.
