Walter B. Newman, Jr., 84, of Allentown, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016 in his home. Born in Wilkes Barre, PA he was the son of the late Sarah Ellen (Sorber) Newman Clauser and Walter B. Newman, Sr. Walter was the husband of the late Marjorie L. (Pierce) Newman and together they shared 46 years of marriage.
He served his country honorably in the US Coast Guard from 1956 - 1960. Walter was a toolmaker for Bonney Forge for 36 years before retiring in 1997. He was a member of St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church, Allentown.
Survivors: Daughter, April Braun and husband Russell of Allentown. He was predeceased by his sister, Arlene Nagy.
Services: 11:00am Tuesday, December 27, 2016 in the Church, 201 E. Juniata Street, Allentown, 18103. A viewing for family and friends to be held 10:00am until time of service in the Church. Interment to follow at St. Mark's Cemetery, Allentown. The K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of the arrangements.
