Forrest Lee Carter, 36, died Sunday at the Veteran's Hospital in Wadsworth, Kan. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Carter, both deceased, but reared by Mrs. Mamie Green.

Forrest was a veteran of WWII, having served in the European Theater for 2 years. He is survived by three sisters, Miss Lydia Carter, Calif., Mrs. Ollie Milton, Kansas City and Mrs. Cora Lee Booker, Okla., two brothers, Charles and James Carter, Okla., a grandmother, Mrs. Gerry McCoy, and his foster mother, Mrs.Mamie Green. - Sedalia Democrat - Monday, June 3, 1957 pg.2
