Dale Brady was a fine gentleman; strong in every belief he held. He was clever, depend-able; a strong and loving husband and father. On 30 August 1945 he took as his wife Miss Doris Dean Baumgartner and cherished her as a life's companion. Eight children were born to them.
During World War II he proudly served in the United States Navy. In 1951 the family moved to Fulton from Columbia and opened Brady's Paint and Glass which Dale owned and operated. His business was an off-shoot of the larger Brady family's Columbia store. There was a building boom in Fulton as servicemen from WWII and the Korean War were returning home, starting families.
A member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, he was strong in faith and committed to service. There was no local council of the Knights of Columbus and Dale was instrumental in establishing one. A member of the Fulton Country Club, he served as president of the board.
