Thelma Inez Woods, 87, of Fitzgerald, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at Pruitt Health in Fitzgerald.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, December 22, 2016, at Colony City Community Church with Pastor Nook Metcalf Burge and Bro. Gregg Gunby officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the church on Thursday.

Mrs. Woods was born March 3, 1929, in Pineview, Georgia, to the late Clifford Fredrick and Ruby Jewel Crozier Bridges. She was a secretary for Kimball’s Dairy in Fitzgerald and worked with Western Sizzlin in Charleston, South Carolina. She was a 1947 graduate of Fitzgerald High School and was a member of Colony City Community Church.

Survivors include her children: 2 sons and one daughter-in-law; one daughter and son-in-law; seven grandchildren; and several great grandchildren; one brother, Allen Bridges and wife Barbara and a sister, Helen Jackson all of Fitzgerald. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William (Bill) Woods and three brothers .
