Lloyd was a rancher and a member of the First Baptist Church in Coalgate, Oklahoma and a member of the Atoka Elks Lodge.
He married Betty Louise Cook on December 24, 1955 in Wapanucka, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on March 29, 2003.
Survivors include two sons, Johnny Ford of Deer Creek, Oklahoma and Joe Don Burns and wife Liza of Coalgate, Oklahoma; two daughters, Rhonda Carroll of Atoka and Jamie Price and husband Shawn Koehler of Kyle, Texas; grandchildren, Anna Ford Wyant and husband Eddie of Enid, Oklahoma, Sammy Carroll and wife Lindsay of Atoka, Kelsey Hinds and husband Barry of Atoka, Kara Byrd and husband Andy of Durant, Oklahoma, Henry Gamble of Coalgate, Oklahoma, Corey Price of Atoka, Hayley Carroll and husband Zach McIntyre of Calera, Oklahoma, Zach Burns and Jay Carroll, both of Durant, Oklahoma, Tyler and Nathan Price, both of Coalgate, Oklahoma, Holly Gamble of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Derek Goodson of Coalgate, Oklahoma; seven great grandchildren, Madison Carroll of McKinney, Texas, Ross Wyant of Enid, Oklahoma, Abel and Cooper Carroll of Atoka, Oklahoma, Katylyn Holloway of Atoka, Oklahoma, Aaron Hinds of Atoka, Oklahoma and Kaylor Dougherty of Coleman, Oklahoma; one brother, Roy Dan Burns and wife June of Coalgate, also several nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.
