Barbara Ann Sims, age 71, went home to be with Lord Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Homestead of Denison.
Mrs. Sims was born September 29, 1945 in Denison, Texas the daughter of Johnnie and Edith (West) Beard. She met and married James Earl Sims. Barbara was a homemaker and her family always came first. The joys of her life were her family, grandkids, great grandkids and her faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Her life was a true testimony of what it meant to be a devoted mother, grandmother and Christian. Her passing leaves a void in so many lives, but her spirit will live on in our heart forever.
Mrs. Sims leaves behind her beloved family, daughters, Lorie Dawson and husband, Royce of Denison, TX and Jacquelyn Davis and husband, Mark of Denison, TX; grandchildren, James Dawson and wife, Ariel, Dustin Dawson and wife, Jennifer, Daniel Davis, Jenning Blevins, Kiry Ainsworth and husband, Chance and Tyrell Davis and seven great grandchildren.
Mrs. Sims was cremated according to her wishes. A Celebration of Life with a pot luck dinner will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 7 p.m. at Mauk Circle Community Center.
