Jackie Ray Hale, 86 of Huntington, W.Va. passed away, Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Huntington Health and Rehabilitation Center, Huntington, W.Va. He was born July 6, 1930 in Huntington, W.Va. the son of the late, Alton Jackson and Ruby Sullivan Hale. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 23, 2016 at Christ Temple Church Huntington, W.Va. with Pastor Chuck Lawrence officiating. Funeral services will be live streamed at www.ctcwv.com . Burial will follow in Greenbottom Cemetery, Greenbottom, W.Va. He was a well known gospel music singer singing with Harry White and the Four Keys Quartet in the 1960’s and most recently the Sincere Gospel Quartet. He was the owner of Lavallette Repair Service; was a Service Station Maintenance Man for the Pure Oil Company in the 1950’s and later Union Oil Company. He was also the founding member of Trinity Chapel Church and was very proud of his gospel music career as well as his family. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Oma Louise Clary Hale and Ethel Ellis Hale; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and David Bias and Judy Artis. He is survived by his son, Mark Hale (Karen Crawford) and Sandra (Michael) Stephens, Heather (Tony) Blankenship all of Huntington, W.Va; sister, Carolyn Sue Powers (Paul) and brother, Robert “Bob” (Linda) Hale; six grandchildren, Sarah (Jared) Damron, Matthew (Katie) Hale, Kristin Stephens, Rebekah Hale, Eric and Molly Blankenship; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Lauren, Luke Damron and Asher Hale. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Christ Temple Church, Huntington, W.Va. Henson & Kitchen Mortuary; Huntington, W.Va. is caring for the family.
